Child Yeast Infection:

Babies and toddlers can get yeast infections just like adults do especially in there early years while in diapers.  Because yeast likes to grow in there skin folds.  The yeast infection babies and toddlers get is caused by candida known as albicans, and is a very common thing known as child yeast infection.    You’re doctor can examine your baby or toddler to determine if he or she might have a rash on there groin or thrush in there mouth which is caused by a yeast infectionChild yeast infection is not fun for little ones because they do not understand why they are feeling so uncomfortable and can be very miserable for them to go through.  You’re doctor may prescribe an antifungal cream for your little one to treat your Child’s yeast infection.  If you notice your baby or toddler is not getting any better after using the antifungal cream you should call you’re doctor right away especially if you notice a rash on the bottom that will not go away.

Things that can cause a child yeast infection are:

Antibiotics, when bacteria is killed the yeast will find a way to thrive. As a mother you need to be aware of children who are taking antibiotics so you know what too expect.  Another cause of child yeast infection is because their mouth has not yet had proper organism concentration and yeast will develop very easily and cause oral thrush.

Oral child yeast infection is called thrush and there are many children with this very problem.  Parents should always make sure they’re changing babies diapers regularly and make sure their bottom and groin area are clean and dry after bathing and changing diapers consistently.   Child yeast infection is not life threatening if brought under control quickly.  However, it can be very irritating and uncomfortable for you baby or toddler until the yeast infection is cleared up.

Risks of Untreated Yeast Infection

If gone untreated, yeast infectioncan eventually become systemic (life threatening).  Candida (yeast) will produce mycotoxins which are biologically active substances.  During an untreated yeast infection, these toxins can enter the blood stream and cause a vast number of symptoms related to the central nervous system such as light headedness or dizziness, confusion or mental fogginess, loss of memory, fatigue, nausea, headaches, even numbness or tingling, and many others as well.  These symptoms often appear the same as those of hypoglycemia or low blood sugar.  However, very often they are the result of mycotoxins from an untreated yeast infection.

Overcolonization of the mycelial form of Candida during an untreated yeast infection can invade the bloodstream and infect virtually every organ and tissue in the human body.  One particular organ that is affected during an untreated yeast infection is the bowels.  An untreated yeast ifection will often cause the bowels to become more permeable which will allow undigested or partially undigested protean into the bloodstream.  When this happened to me the symptoms were; allergies to many different foods, particularly spicy foods which I love.  My face swelled up like a balloon.  Skin allergies.  The skin on the palm side of my hands (fingers up to the wrists) completely pealed several times.

After seeing 3 different doctors to determine the causes of my sypmtoms we had still not reached a conclusion.  You will find that many doctors to this day still refuse to accept that yeast infection is real.  Do to the ineffectiveness of these doctors I would hate to speculate how many yeast infections go untreated every year.  The pharmaceutical research just doesn’t seem to be there.  I was actually very lucky that I was eventually diagnosed with a yeast infection and even luckier when I stumbled upon an all natural way to cure it.  The amazing thing is, in about 12 hours I had no more symptoms of my previously untreated yeast infection other than where my skin had pealed away from my hands.  Please click here to read more about this all natural cure for untreated yeast infection.
